• At the beginning of the school year, I decided to carry forward the idea of a relaxation room that my older sister had created before she graduated. The room, located behind the front desk, was empty, dusty, and had only a window. I took the initiative to transform this space into something the whole school could use. After discussing it with the head of the school, I offered to pay for the room’s décor, and she was fully supportive. In just two weeks, we acquired bean bags, LED lights, sound machines, and a rug. Our goal was to create a safe space for students with autism, ADHD, depression, and others who needed it—a place for everyone, including teachers! This project eventually helped me land in the top 10 of a competition that could have awarded me $25,000 toward my tuition.
