- Led upwards of 20 educational tours daily about the rearing, life cycle, and species that were within the house for visitors of all ages.
- Reared butterflies through all life stages; disinfected food, equipment, and enclosures; logged daily information for nearly 250 caterpillars at any given time.
- Tested for Ophyrocystux Elektroscirrha (OE) on adult Monarchs; as well as removed predators and insects infected with BT, common diseases and parasites from within the butterfly house.
- Provide husbandry needs for a variety of reptiles and arthropods such as box turtles, vietnamese walking sticks and a multitude of snake species.
- Daily tasks include habitat cleaning, feeding animals, checking on their health, rebuilding enclosures as needed, providing enrichment and teaching visitors about the species we have in our care, as well as local species.
