I have created the Reference binder for new Hires, so that they are confident that they have the necessary tools and skills to perform their duties appropriately, confidently and efficiently.




I have successfully trained multiple new hires for the NICU. They all have felt that I have covered all that they may encounter on a daily basis. As well as how to manage their time wisely and allowed them to figure what learning style worked form and geared their training in the way that they understood and was comfortable with.

I have my Basic Life Support Certification (B.L.S)

I also have my Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification (N.V.C.I)

I relieved The Fostering Support For Nursing and Patient Care, this particular award is usually presented to a Registered Nurse (RN). I received this award due to my hard work, team work and dedication to the NICU.

I was nominated by multiple nurses from my unit and was chose to receive the Breakfast Club award for my wiliness to help, to assist in various projects, hard work and always being a team player.

A couple of Committees that I am apart of at my Current facility are the following

Infection Control

The Infection Control Committee is around that way we can keep track of our various infection rate and to see what things we can implement to keep the infection rate down.

Bereavement Committee

The Bereavement Committee is around to help those families with the loss of their child. I am apart of this committee because it is a way for me to help the parents that in a way that not many can do. I help with impressions and writing out the information cards.

Von Focus Group Committee

I was asked by one of our Neonatologist to join this committee to help spread awareness through a bulletin board on various reasons that can help you bond with your baby and brain development.

Employee Congress Committee

  I was chosen out of 150 NICU Nurses, Secretary / PCA's to be apart of this committee. The Employee Congress Committee was created so a group of fellow pears from various units and  Departments to come together and help with various ways that the hospital can provide efficient healthcare and address any issues that we can to figure out a plan of action.
