- During the summers, from 2020 to 2023, me and my older brother (just me in the last 2 years) occupied ourselves with starting and running a lawncare/landscaping business. It was a great opportunity that I grew a lot from because I was just barely leaving the 8th grade at the time and my older brother was just about to enter college. I credit this 3-4 year period with giving me most of my work experience and almost all of my work ethic. The work was hard, scheduling was hard, marketing was hard, going door to door was hard, but summer after summer we found ourselves with happy repeat customers and a good amount of profit. The hard and soft skills I learned form this time as a small business owner will be the nucleus of what I have to offer in the workforce right now because it was such an intense and rewarding piece of job experience.
