Certified Medical Assistant: I currently work in the infusion department as a medical assistant at the cancer center the past year. I transferred from the ophthalmology department to the infusion department.

My daily tasks consists of calling patients back obtaining vitals, giving injections, helping out with scheduling appointments for patients injection schedules, stocking supplies needed on a daily bases in the infusion chair pods and in medical supply room.

At Onvida Health I was hired as certified ophthalmic assistant in January 2022. At this role I would work up patients by checking vision, IOP's and checking pupils for dilation. I would also take macular, optic nerve , and cornea scans. I would assisted the MD with in office procedures, send electronic prescriptions order by the MD record, and sterilized instruments.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Scribe: Worked up patients checking vision, IOP's, and checking pupils for dilation. As a scribe I would assisted the optometrist with refractions,medical charting, sending electronic prescriptions and coding exams.

Worked as a patient care technician on surgical procedure days. Worked as a scrub tech and assisted with Lasik , and cataract surgeries. Prepared the Lasik treatment plans and did monthly rotation call.

Surgery Authorization Specialist/Patient Care Tech: Called and verify insurance benefits to attain eligibility for all surgical procedures.

Admitted/ discharge patients, obtain vitals,ask medical pre op questions, instill eye drops,obtain consents, and helped the post op nurse with discharge process.
