"Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts", -Sir Wiston Churchill.
I am driven, hard working, and ambitious. My goal is to be a successful member of society. I was raised to believe service above self and to honor those who paved the way before me. I have a strong work ethic and continue to build on being a better person. I am quick witted and very adaptable in any situation. My greatest accomplishments is when I have been of service to others, this includes my family, friends, and strangers.
I want to attend the United States Naval Academy. My desire is to carry on the legacy of service that my family has done for generations. My hope is to honor the legacy of my beloved great-grandfather Donald Ward Hutson who served in World War II as a merchant marine and continued his career until his retirement as a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Beyond his service, he was a man of fatih and his greatest love was his family. He was the backbone of our family and served his community when needed. My hope is to be like him and leave that same legacy for my future family. His work ethic is a guiding light for me to strive high and know that I can do anything I put my mind to. I want to leave a mark and shine my own light and the Naval Academy is where I plan to do it.
