Supervisor

Respiratory Protection Program Manager at US Navy

Sasebo, Japan

I managed a Respiratory Protection Management program, overseeing several thousands of dollars' worth of safety respiratory equipment while being the sole person in charge of the program.

Managed and issued every piece of respiratory equipment onboard, while also providing training on
safety protocols for operations such as sanding, painting, and blasting in an industrial environment.

During the INSERV inspection, which determines the ship's ability to function and complete its mission, as the sole independent Respiratory Program Manager, scored a 100% on my field of industrial safety under OSHA regulations and guidelines.

Damage Control Workcenter Supervisor

Sasebo, Japan
Managed over 15 individuals onboard the USS Patriot between the years of 2021 and 2024. Educated and trained the entire 70+ crew on safety protocol and safety equipment usage; in addition, trained personnel using Excel PowerPoints and slides created by me. I used my leadership skills onboard the ship to ensure maintenance completion, safety compliance, and managing an entire Workcenter with over $70,000 worth of life saving and damage control equipment onboard, in addition to managing personnel on how to perform tasks and maintenance with and on said equipment.

Led a small team in completing over 490 man-hours of mechanical maintenance on firefighting and lifesaving equipment, resulting in a 97% passing score for the ship's Mobility Damage Control certification, the highest of any ship on the Pacific Fleet for that fiscal year.
Received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for the supervision of my small team and preparing the ship for any casualty.

Maintenance Technician

Sasebo, Japan
Performed general maintenance and system repairs, both electrical and mechanical, onboard various naval vessels. Completed preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. Demonstrated leadership skills and resiliency in
challenging and fast-paced environments.

Demonstrated extensive knowledge of maintenance during the annual Korean Spring Exercise, performing 80+ man-hours of maintenance on Mine Neutralization Vehicle (A/N SLQ-48). Completed over 250 hours of electrical and mechanical maintenance on the ship's minehunting equipment and vehicles, including Power Supply Units,
Hydraulic Supply Units, and the Mine Neutralization Vehicle; the total value of the equipment performed on easily surpasses $250,000.
Conducted over 100 hours of preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, including Anchor Windlass, Stern Cranes, and motors, onboard USS Patriot.

For my expertise, knowledge and dedication of performing my duties as the Maintenance Technician for the A/N SLQ-48 Mine Neutralization Vehicle, I received an additional Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal upon parting
from the ship.
