I and six other men were chosen by the staff and pastors of Fellowship Bible Church Rogersville to lead the small groups within their young adult ministry of 200+ people. We open up our homes and meet weekly with other college-aged students, in order to mentor and lead them through the most recent sermon. Along with pursuing students outside of the usual weekly meetups, in an effort to build community and care for the individual.
After serving as a counselor/ropes team member, I was asked to come back and serve on the leadership team for the summer of 2024. Due to my role as Ropes Team Manager I had responsibilities in all three camps, but even more at the first camp KAA 1. Besides high ropes activities, I was responsible for supporting the counselors by helping them grow in their faith, discipline, and integrity; along with everyday camp activities and troubled campers.
I was elected by Pi Kappa Phi’s executive board to develop, implement, and manage fundraising events for the chapter. I organized the following events: date auctions, local restaurant fundraisers, haunted houses, philanthropy events, etc.
During my junior year of high school I began collaborating with the owner of Climb So iLL and Westminster’s club administrator to develop a Rock Climbing Club. The club grew naturally and became its own community where we would meet weekly and climb together. I also organized and budgeted for summer trips which allowed the club to go outdoor climbing in various states. The Rock Climbing Club continues to this day.
