I am a pre-law student pursuing a political science major, with a minor in psychology, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Through my courses, I have developed strong skills in policy analysis, political research, and critical evaluation of government institutions, along with honing my ability to analyze public policy, compare political systems, interpret political theory, and assess the role of culture in political behavior. I am gaining experience in written analysis, argument development, and understanding state and federal governance.
In the fall of 2024, I became a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. This experience has taught me the value of being part of an organization that values supporting fellow members and the community. Together, we take part in local charitable events such as the American Red Cross Blood Drive, Keeping Knoxville Beautiful Community Clean-Up, and East TN Children's Hospital fundraising events. After my first year as a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, I was elected Secretary and Chair of the T-Shirt Committee. These appointments illustrate my leadership skills as well as my commitment to help build up and support my fellow brothers.
During my freshman year at UT, I organized a team for the school's intramural basketball league. I drew upon the experience I developed during my high school years when I captained a team for our local recreational league for three years. During that time, I was required to schedule practices, design and order uniforms, and ensure that my team adhered to league rules.
My strongest skills include analytical thinking, clear written and verbal communication, leadership, and organization. I thrive in team-based environments, and I am comfortable taking the initiative where needed to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines. My strong sense of accountability, adaptability, and professionalism applies to academic and extracurricular activities. Most importantly, I am highly motivated to strengthen and expand my skill set through hard work and mentorship.
