Jacob Santiago

For Majority of my years, I have been helping my dad with my two brothers who are handicap that were born with cerebral palsy changing,feeding,bathing, etc. and even til this day I still help when I'm needed.

Also for the past two and half years I was away doing missionary work for the catholic church two years In Denver Colorado helping in the parishes a front desk and help form community's and did the same in Belize for six months.

For the these last two years I’ve been working as a DSP working with 4 individuals in total of 2 years.

I would help manage their well-being and health and fitness. I would organize day trips and do daily activities. I would also manage their appointments making sure they get the best care provider for them.

I have also done my gentle training

I am also apart of the DSP Peer Support group Being involved in trying to find the best way to support each other.

I have also been able to be a part of a DSP Media campaign for addressing disparities in access to care and services for diverse people with disabilities and their family’s. Which was
