- I am expected to inspect identification to ensure it is real
- I also use a variety of equipment to detect for explosives such as an ETD, AIT, and an Analogic X-ray
- I also am proficient in property searches as well as physical body searches and I follow all standard operating procedures and expectations
- I also resolve the vast majority of alarms that our equipment identify
- I calibrate all of these machines as well, to make sure they run proficiently
- My collateral duties consist of ACERT and Hazmat disposal
- I am currently applying for another collateral position to become an ATI
- ACERT is an emergency response team to help treat medical injuries during a disaster such as earthquakes and tornadoes
- Hazmat disposal is correctly and safely emptying containers on the checkpoint and properly disposing of these items
- ATI is an assistant training instructor position to help inform people on correct practices regarding the SOP.
