Summary

I am a young man with many talents, love to dance (my dream was to be a choreographer ) but who’s says that can’t happen “Never let dreams die " eventually life took a turn and I took up Culinary Arts in Trading School do I love to cook ? Of course, but I could see myself going to school in the near future to become an health inspector. I'm so happy to experience life the way I did finding my relationship with god drawing closer to family and making genuine friends who all love me for me. "Never allow others negative energy rub off you always do your upmost to remain positive push out any temptations that may come your way". I was always told, I am a hard worker I've enjoyed every job opportunity I've had to experience to build up my confidence and skills this time around if I happen to find something I'm passionate about I'm staying at whatever company I work for, for eternity unless life has other plans for me.

Work History

Prep Cook

SAGE Dining Services
Somerset
10.2019 - Current
  • Started this 2nd job position as a dishwasher , October 17,2019, wanted to expand my culinary education further so in order to do so had to start from the bottom work my way up as a prep cook shifts Mon-Friday weekends off 6am-2:30pm I loved my Sage dining Family in the kitchen , everyone was respectable, great team work and delivered when lunch time for the faculty and students came the Sage dining company was located in Somerset NJ at Rutgers Preparation School feeding kids grades K-12 plus faculty it was a wonderful experience, Today October 16,2022 my manager left me on as an on call employee I left my position july 19,2022 to take a break from culinary arts and the food industry.

Field Technician

Redbear tech
South Plainfield
07.2022 - 06.2023
  • Leaving the food industry i was little nervous going into a different work field as a technician with no experience and training was included I'm still learning how to work with my hands in a different Avenue of work I love being able to travel and be out and learning how to fix veterinarian , dental and lab research machinery and going to these different locations and working on gas installation with the oxygen and vacuum has been great education on how the gas flows through these animal hospitals so these hospitals have oxygen for surgery operations
  • Working at the private school standing and waking up doing the same routine was little tiring for me, I wanted a new experience in a different work environment
  • Im also always on the road I drive anywhere NJ, NY, PA, DC & Massachusetts for jobs with a provided work vehicle
  • But now that I have work experience for two completely work careers
  • I want to eventually get back into the culinary world and expand my dream of opening my own food truck and having a different food cuisine maybe vegan /healthier option foods.

Server/Waiter

Olive Garden
Piscataway
05.2022 - 07.2022
  • Oliver garden was always a dream job for me as a kid between that an Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden was just how I dreamt it to be great organization , excellent staff , one thing I will never forget the manager said to me and the other new staff is do not lie to the customers if a mistake was made it best to tell the truth rather then lie , it'll 9/10 keep the customers calm and understanding in that sense an they would want you back specifically as their server again
  • I loved working there but the financial stability wasn't what they exaggerate it to be, since it was summer I understand it's always slow summer timefor food industry but again I never worked for a corporate restaurant so the pay was extremely unusual to me because working at a 24 hour diner all cash tips were mine I had to buss out 15% if there was a busboy during my shifts
  • Olive Garden after a while became desert city with about 15 servers on a one shift when all staff had one table per server
  • So I eventually love the environment, it taught me how it is working with wine always make sure customers are of legal age to drink, the seriousness that impact could have on my position and the company I definitely took every training Day seriously, I saw myself becoming a head leader or manager for Olive Garden but it was not worth staying in my opinion
  • I do miss my Olive Garden family though.

Taco Bell Crew Member

Taco Bell
South Plainfield
08.2021 - 09.2021
  • Taco Bell job was temporary job due to my Sage dining company working for the school district summer everyone was off , had to collect unemployment, my unemployment was not falling through when needed money for bills an things, so I applied to Taco Bell I love the fact I was able to step up my customer service skill through the drive thru and I got better at math when it came to exchanging cash with the customers, an getting back into the swing of multitasking
  • Once my private school opened back up there was no need for me to work at Taco Bell anymore plus all employees were quitting the company falling apart.

Server/Waiter

somerset diner
Somerset
05.2018 - 01.2021
  • Somerset Diner was my first official job coming out graduating from East Brunswick Vocational High School year 2018 with my diploma and degree in culinary arts, the experience I got working at a 24 hour diner was phenomenal, I worked my first year 4 days out of the week, I helped out whenever my job needed me, 5pm-3am were my regular shifts then I would help out with 6pm-6am shifts I learned how the restaurant business is fast -paced, great teamwork, pleasing the customers to the best of my ability, an making sure the food was prepared properly, and having a good time enjoying what I loved to do
  • October 2019 is when I found a 2nd job to save faster for a vehicle an my 2nd job was Sage dining working as a prep cook Working at the private school I got busy my manager at Somerset diner left me on as an on call employee
  • After quarantine was done with the diner got back to me asking if I wanted to work , since my Sage dining job was closed for the entire year of 2020, so I went back to my diner family to help out but the food industry was looking really slow when my school opened back up 2021 of January I had a vehicle so working 2 jobs again was easier plus both my jobs were right next door to each other
  • At the time I work full time at the private school 6am-2:30pm then working Wednesday-Friday at the diner 5pm-3am the business was down a lot of servers due to Covid-19 pandemic no one wanted to work, an my financial stability was struggling especially since 2021 of January I was in the processof moving to Piscataway during a severe snow storm
  • I thought it was really inconvenient an dangerous that the diner asked me to come work a shift during a bad snow snow storm the roads were icy and my vehicle was a old 03 Buick Lesabre i could've gotten stuck since that experience an plus the diner Was struggling no customers or anything I decided to take my leave 2021 of January.
