I was personally brought on to the staff by the general manager of the establishment. I have since then contributed to a positive work environment as my position as shift leader. I have recruited and trained new bartenders and barbacks to help maintain a talented team, while continuously surpassing targeted net sales. I excell at upselling menu items to guest, driving up sale revenue and maximizing profits. I have succeeded at handling simultaneous customer, team and business needs while avoiding delay or error. After working two years as a bartender at Cincinnati bar and grill, I was promoted to management. My responsibilities included; bartending, expediting food, increasing team productivity by implementing efficient workflow, addressing concerns with guest and finding effective solutions, providing positive feedback to my staff, providing excellent customer service, inventory, ordering all the alcohol for the bar as well as doing the nightly checkouts and handling all money collected daily, five times a week. I withheld my position as management there for three years, five overall at this establishment.
After working with this establishment for six months, I was promoted to general manger. I had many responsibilities in this position. I established employee training and education for all the new employees, implemented effective cost-saving measures to reduce expenses without compromising quality pr service. Managed budget development, all employees, market trends, bar functions and events, promotions and schedules. Within my first three months I managed to increase profits by 30% while developing and executing strategic plans for business growth.
I was employed with Craw oyster bar for three years. In my three years I consistently exceeded sales targeted by upselling premium products without compromising guest satisfaction as well as developed loyal clientele by continently delivering outstanding service and engaging in friendly conversation. I introduced new cocktails, educated guest on drinks options and assisted with new staff training. Each night I managed cash duties and ensured accurate counting at the end of each shift. I obtained many skills at this establishment.
I started at Barrigas as a busser, assisted the servers maintain a clean and organized dining area well providing efficient service to our guest. Once I was of legal age to serve alcohol I was promoted to server, I displayed excellent skills in multi tasking and used my time wisely while expediting food and interacting with our guest. After six months serving, I was once again promoted, this time to bartender. I succeeded at reducing wait times for drinks by efficiently managing the bar area and prioritizing orders. I then obtained skills on complying with health and safety regulations, becoming certified with Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission and Texas Food Handlers card license.
