It was only my second year playing the sport after my friends motivated me to join. During my first season, I used my natural athleticism and game sense to guide my way through blossoming into a valuable player. I showed much potential once the season was over, but I had to work hard to reach it. I spent the summer playing and stood out enough to get college looks. This gave me a giant boost of confidence going into senior season, the most anticipated period of time I have ever experienced. This being my first year starting, I knew I had to establish my presence. I soon became the teams defensive cornerstone that also contributed on the offensive end. With our end record being 19-6, I was commended for my constant efforts and desire to make everyone, myself included, better. In just my second year of playing, I accomplished what many have played for their entire life to achieve, all due to hard work. This further reinforces that hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard (doesn't mean hard work can't have talent of course).
