Summary

I am a person that enjoys learning and being challenged. My bachelor’s degree in computer science has allowed me to explore different facets of technology. I have been an IT Administrator for different servers and operating systems, a database administrator which led to being an adjunct instructor teaching Oracle and SQL Server administration. The next adventure and challenge was into healthcare where I put my skills to work building Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS) all of which I had to research and learn about to obtain the position. From this experience I was able to obtain a leadership role as a Radiology Informatics Manager. After the accomplishments that I have made in medical imaging, it was time for a new challenge and moved into a new role as an interface analyst. In this position, I obtained my proficiency with honors in Epic Bridges and obtained my certification for Rhapsody integration engine. But alas, if that wasn’t enough, I went back to school and obtained a master’s degree in data analytics.

Interests

My interests are astronomy, amateur radio, and 3D printing or what is also become known as additive manufacturing in the industrial sector

I have always had an interest in science, astronomy is a great stepping stone to learn about, physics, chemistry, biology, planetary science The list can go on I try to keep a child like wonder every time I look up at the stars or planets Every time I see Saturn through my telescope I am just amazed

Amateur radio touches on my technical side I am able to connect my radio to my computer and record contacts easily Plus it also amazes me that with a 100 watt transmitter and a wire I can talk with people in Scotland, Portugal, Belgium, Italythe list can go on I don't have to depend on any infrastructure to do it

3D printing is something a ventured into a couple of years ago I took a class that a local makers club was offering After that I was hooked The ability to create something from nothing using a CAD program, some plastic filament, and another program (a slicer) so the 3D printer can print it is amazing More and more 3D printing has revolutionized the manufacturing industry, as well as, other industries with the use of additive manufacturing helping to drive costs down
