My responsibility is to perform medical administrative duties by processing consults, opting the veteran in to receive care, contacting different vendors, scheduling appointments, completing consults, canceling consults, working the fax folder, reviewing medical records, organizing patient’s paperwork, faxing different paperwork to vendors, sending out different images and reports to vendors, and assisting with other clerical tasks as needed.

  • To enroll individuals in the drug court program, which is design to help individuals gain the opportunity to enter a lengthy term drug treatment program, supervised by the courts, once they are referred by the Assistant solicitor. It is also, my job to make sure all their paperwork is filled out, and make sure the behavioral care programs have everything that they need for our clients to be successful enrolled in the program. In addition, to make sure all my drug court clients are following drug court rules and requirements; so that they can successfully complete the program. The goal is for the client to not be a repeated offender.
  • Coordinate with the South Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Mental Health, The Alpha Center, and Trinity Behavioral Care Services. With these services defendants whether they were non-veterans or veterans were provided medical treatment, counseling, and job opportunities.
  • Attending the Solicitors Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC, every year; for a refresher training in reference to providing adequate material for drug court.
  • Attending the Drug Court Conference in Greenville, SC, for a yearly training; the importance of running treatment court, the proper sanctions that should be given in reference to treatment court, and how clients should be rewarded. In addition;coordinating with judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, treatment specialist, and counselors; in reference to the proper transition of the clients attending and following proper protocol of treatment court.
  • To enroll individuals in the PTI program once the Assistant solicitor makes a referral for them to be place in the program. With PTI I am instructed to give community service hours, also give the clients different tasks at hand that must be completed within a certain amount of time to successful complete the program.
  • Coordinate with Trinity Behavioral Care Services to provide services to defendants in reference to medical treatment and counseling.
  • Coordinate with Law Enforcement Agencies, Fire Departments, and Local Churches; in reference to defendants helping with events in the community and at the local departments.
  • Attending the Solicitors Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC, every year; for a refresher training in reference to providing adequate material for Pre-Trial Invention.
  • Both programs are created as an attempt to prevent defendants from future criminal behavior. These programs are also designed to help the victims gained back the loss, such as restitution, private property, or anything that was taking during the stage of the crime being committed.
