I went to Thomas Jefferson High School, and worked tirelessly to graduate a year early. I took on extra classes while working 30-35 hour weeks, took college classes to earn extra credits, and succeeded. I got into every college I applied for, received one full ride, and numerous other scholarships. I have been recruited for 2 nation wide honors programs, and am currently in one. Education is of the utmost importance to not only me, but to my first generation immigrant mother who built herself up from the ground. I have been taught independence, team working skills, and diligence by her, and I am working hard to create a stable, and sustainable future.
At Arapahoe Community College, I work in the Concurrent Enrollment office. It is my job to provide support and service to High School students taking college classes. I help students and parents seeking guidance, providing them with information as well resources to provide them with the best possible opportunities. Not only that, but it is my job as well as responsibility to be the best possible resource for those who want to succeed, or for anyone looking for support.
At Panera Bread, I did essentially every job available. At first, I was a cashier. I set up shop, working to create a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment. I monitored and upheld the cleanliness of the lobby, was a barista, and a friend to customers. I also doubled as a baker. I maintained a pristine working environment, created and decorated beautiful pastries, and performed my best work possible. It is important to me that my work ethic shows in my product. I hold myself to high standards, and only accept the best of my abilities.
Due to harassment, I was forced to move locations. At the new location, I was trained for another job. I no longer worked as a baker, but instead worked as a cashier, and team member; making breakfast, lunch, and dinner for customers. I upheld my personal standards, and created the best possible working environment for customers, my fellow employees, and myself.
