Accurately enter demographics, booking and case information into computer system for individuals taken into custody- and perform such related activities as accessing and running CCIC/NCIC responses for warrant checks, processing releases, evaluate criminal history and dispursing money to offenders leaving the facility.

Provide direct supervision of offenders within housing to maintain a safe and secure environment. Conduct frequent security checks for evidence of unauthorized activities and infractions of rules, respond to situations, and document accordingly. Observe conduct and behavior of offenders , respond to and control emergency situations, and use appropriate levels of force to control combative, volatile, or hostile offenders. Supervise the dispensing of food in a timely fashion to inmates, ensuring compliance of all health and safety regulations.

Supervise and direct the work of correctional officers to ensure the safe custody, discipline, and welfare of inmates. Monitor behavior of subordinates to ensure alert, courteous, and professional behavior towards inmates, fellow employees, visitors, and the public. Convey correctional officers' or inmates' complaints to superiors.
