I'm Ready To Go To Work. Career Break - - Disability 12/18-Present. I stumbled upon the "flesh-eating" bacteria around December 21, 2018. By the 22nd, I was hospitalized, and surgeries began. 42 days in the ICU. Hospitalized at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJC) in St. Louis for Fournier's Gangrene. Please don't just look at the first picture. My Fournier's was different and much worse! Further hospitalized. Sent home. Then the hard part started. In a bed for months. I needed to learn to stand and then walk again. The gigantic hole took more than a year close. It took a village of loved ones, people who became members of my team, and people I met only once, who stepped up and stepped in and saved my life.

• Teaching Fellow-AFL-CIO Organizing Institute, Midwest, Southern and Western Regions, 2003, 2017, Frequently invited as teaching fellow at Midwest, Southern and Western Regions AFL-CIO Organizing Institute, to teach activists how to be a union organizer.
• Service Employees International Union, Omaha, Nebraska, 1999, Present, Director of Organizing - Local 226, Led the Locals organizing department and activities. Acted as spokesperson on volatile issues. Developed, implemented and won union organizing campaigns. Identified and implemented internal organizing campaign around negotiating committee taking newly formed bargaining units to first contract. Implemented and won contract campaigns.
• League of Conservation Voters, Wisconsin, Fall 1998, Present, State Field Director, Organized forty volunteers statewide to protest against a US Senate candidate through an independent expenditure campaign. Worked with media director to implement a statewide earned media campaign. Developed and implemented issue focused GOTV plan.
• Democratic Party of Wisconsin, Green Bay, WI, Fall 1996, Present, GOTV Coordinator, Coordinated Campaign. Point person in crucial two county area. Coordinated multiple interests and the Campaign to the first Democratic win in the WI-8 ever.
• New Transportation Alliance, Fond du Lac, WI, Fall 1996, Present, Community Outreach Director, Developed and implemented independent expenditure campaign strategy in key Congressional district, through this grant funded, limited term project, designed to build community awareness and knowledge around the reauthorization of "ISTEA."
• Peg Lautenschlager for Congress, 6th CD, WI, Fall 1992, Present, Field Organizer, Designed and implemented campaign strategy in and around Manitowoc, WI, including volunteer recruitment, voter education, community and Labor relations as well as implementation of Coordinated Campaign GOTV program.
