began my Costco journey in 2021 while attending UW Tacoma, using the opportunity to explore my career interests. I started in the food court at the Tacoma warehouse, where I thrived in the fast-paced environment and quickly became one of the fastest peppers in the building. After a year, I transferred to the Puyallup location, where I expanded my skills starting as an assistant, learning to stock, occasionally helping in the food court, and floating between various front-end programs.
The following year, I was honored as one of the runner-ups for Employee of the Year. My days were always filled with action, thanks to the wide range of departments I cross-trained in. Some days I’d be supporting the front end, while others I’d be stocking or assisting wherever needed gaining a well-rounded view of warehouse operations.
Since I took over, we've officially moved out of the Focus 5, and DMC has made a significant turnaround going from one of its lowest points to now hitting benchmark performance.
In my short time on the front end, I led several programs that helped our team achieve multiple top placements in the district all while beginning my career with Costco.
originally applied for SIT without realizing it would lead to a career I’d truly want to pursue
When I first applied for SIT, I didn’t realize I would be selected for both the Front End and Food Court programs
