Converting Production Supervisor

  • Ensure employees are wearing all assigned PPE throughout the shift. Responsible for 3 flexo folder and 2 die cut machines for cutting/printing boxes for various customers.
  • Perform quality checks on every order prior to running to ensure machine has been properly set up prior to running the order.
  • Currently managing 17 employees in the Converting department along with 6 in Shipping/Receiving & 3 in maintenance during the off-shift hours 6 nights a week.
  • Manage waste of materials used to ensure we are not throwing out good products to help keep costs down.
  • Perform safety and quality audits daily along with reports at the end of the shift indicating performance from the night.
  • Verifying both inbound paper arriving at the machine centers along with the output streams leading to shipping to verify quality requirements are met.

  • Production Manager of three shifts and two shifts of Bottle Cleaning for Xerox which started in Oct 2015. The past year has increased productivity by 40% in 10 months and 60% in a year. Consists of managing the processes, personnel and continuous improvements to provide a quality product for our customers. Involved in writing and enforcing the procedures that are in place. Work closely with the EH&S Manager to verify the safety of our program and any changes that are made.
  • Served as Project Manager for the company's upgrade of their Xerox Check-In Line. Line production increased by 30% per day since the upgrade in 2015.
  • Promoted from off-shift Supervisor to Production Manager in July 2013 to manage 3 check-in lines and 4 machines over three shifts.
  • Started as off shift (2nd) Supervisor and Machine Lead between 2010 & 2013. The company was in the process of growing.

  • From '05 to '07 the night shift earned eight straight quarterly bonuses and went 500-plus days without an accident or injury. Promoted to Project Manager in Aug '08.
