Summary

Hired in at Exxon Chemicals as a Process Apprentice in July of 1992 at the age of 34yrs old. After apprentice school was transferred to the OXO/HP unit. Qualified on the OXO /HP post where I worked for 1 1/2yrs and was then sent to the NOVA unit to help with construction and startup. Was at the NOVA unit for 14mths. Transferred back to OXO after NOVA startup and qualified on 3 other job post. During that time I back filled for the Process Mechanical Coordinator and worked winterization projects for several years. Was asked to step up and work the HP control board at that time was TDC/PMX control that I worked for almost 3yrs. During that time we were implementing the new Windows based Experian control sys. which I worked the transfer from TDC control to Experian control. After that one of out Mechanical supervisors was diagnosed with cancer and had to step down. I was offered his position and worked it as a straight day job for 4yrs following day to day mechanical work and Reactor Catalyst change outs. The job was later eliminated during plant wide cost cutting measures. Went back on shift work as a Process Operator working mostly at the OXO Catplant. Was asked to go back on the control board where I worked the last 4yrs of my career. I retired in Aug of 2018 with a little over 26yrs of service at the age of 59 1/2yrs. I retired at this time to take care of my mother that was diagnosed with Dementia.
