Trained operator to run the plant and perform daily checks for maintenance on equipment and plant.

This gives me the time to oversee operations at both plant sites for Mclendon Enterprises.

In 2007 i was hired by Dan Garcia to take over the operations at their Millen Ga. plant site.

When starting here we had to catch up a lot of maintenance issues to get the plant running properly and to get the asphalt quality up to GDOT standards.

Daily task at this plant was ordering materials,rock by rail,figuring quantities needed of each material and performing preventive maintenance as it was an older plant.

When work slowed in Millen i was used as a utility operator and maintenance man.

Beginning of my asphalt plant career, setup and run a new 400tph Gencor plant.

Learned the ins and outs of asphalt plant operations through breakdown and repairs.

Learned the importance of scheduling materials and trucks for daily operations.

Had a great mentor that operated plants for 40 years that taught me a great deal about daily operations,plant maintenance,and asphalt making process.

At EMC Engineering i inspected GDOT roadway projects for the state. We ensured that the road was being built to GDOT standards by testing and referencing the GDOT spec book.

Gained knowledge of base binder and topping materials and their applications in road construction.

Concrete testing for bridge decks and curbing and erosion control compliance.

At Torrington i worked on the bearing assembly side of the plant. I set up presses to run different types and sizes of needle bearings for assembly.

I was also tasked with fixing machines that were used for bearing assembly that were operated on the assembly line.

Lock out Tag out was a very important step to working on these machines that i carried over to the asphalt plant operations.

Safety and teamwork was a high standard at a plant this size.

Quality of product produced was very important as well.
