• Verify insurance eligibility and accumulation details
• Obtain prior authorization from insurance companies through use of payor portals, by phone or accessing insurance websites
• Schedule patient appointments
• Verify demographic information
• Accurately record data pertaining to insurance/authorization information per EMR requirements
• Coordinate with provider and other intake staff or referral sources regarding incomplete or conflicting referral information
• Obtain prior authorization for Visco Injections by utilizing payor portals, such as Rvicore, Availity and Navinet
• Collaborate with Administrative Assistants to resolve denial issues
• Record accurate authorization information per Epic and maintain detailed notes regarding each patient account
• Communicate with patient regarding each step of the authorization process and schedule injections accordingly
• Perform check- out procedures through the revenue cycle per Cerner
• Analyze providers’ orders and schedule all necessary follow-up appointments, including imaging, labs, chemotherapy, and regular office visits accordingly
• Communicate and collaborate with clinical staff, management and staff in- person or through teams to clarify and verify patient needs and information
