  • Ms. Safford is currently responsible for conducting testing and providing support on developmental tools within the Remote Operations Center (ROC). Testing and data gathering include following a 500-page test plan, addressing system vulnerabilities in both lab and field environments prior to operational acceptance, and providing maintenance support when required.
  • Ms. Safford conducts testing on a Linux 7 virtual machine environment, using her ability with the command line interface to navigate through the OS directory structure and run scripts specific to each system. She is proficient in Linux, Windows, and Solaris environments, which enable her to adapt easily to system requirements, testing, and integration. She authors and reviews the System Requirements Document (SRD) for accuracy and reports findings to management via Post Test Reports, which result in requirements changes and additions.

  • Signals Analyst Ms. Safford surveyed and exploited efforts against new signal technologies to locate of interest communication networks for a variety of customers. Ms. Safford used digital hardware and software to accurately analyze and document signals. Ms. Safford performed detailed measurements and assessments to identify and document signals and anomalies. She can identify types of modulation and annotate applicable pattern measurements on the printed display. Ms. Safford extracts intelligence from high-interest signals and writes and disseminates intelligence reports to customers. Ms. Safford conducts operations in a live signal environment, including searching, acquiring, analyzing, and exploiting signals.
