I was nominated by my superiors for my hard work, dedication, personality and overall performance in the United States Air Force Reserves. Once nominated I had to go through multiple panel interviews with superiors and higher ranking officials as they narrowed their candidates down to one person to receive this award for our base.  I ultimately ended up winning and representing our base in Selfridge, Mi as the Airman of the year.
