- I have been in this role for almost 8 years. As the senior technical trainer my job entails meeting with customers to design a training program best suited for their specific training goals. This includes new machine installation training as well as refresher training for existing equipment. This includes operational and maintenance training. I am responsible for creating new training documentation as new equipment is developed. I am responsible for quoting training for myself and several other trainers plus collecting the P.O.s from our customers and billing the completed training. I perform training at customer sites and am used to the travel related to performing the training. I also train internally for our company, new technicians, salesmen, parts dept.
- Prior to moving into the training department, I was a traveling mechanical service technician for the first six years with Koerber Tissue. As a service technician I was the lead on several machine installation projects. During this time I developed project coordination skills while working with our customers and other OEMs to work together to achieve machine installation targeted timelines. I enjoyed the challenge of reaching these deadlines on time and achieving all machine speed and reliability guarantees. During my time as a technician also developed preventative maintenance checklists for our equipment, performed PM inspections and repairs and also trained other technicians and operators how to properly inspect and repair our equipment. Another large portion of my job as a technician was troubleshooting underperforming or non running equipment.
