Started doing Caregiving 2 years ago when my Father was diagnosed with a cough syncope and diabetes. I would make every appointment and speak to his doctors and care team for him, administer his medication, and made sure he was comfortable sitting during the episodes of fainting due to his cough. I learned how to handle difficult situations under pressure and remain calm and nurturing for my father with the ability to implement efficient care plans and enhance the well-being of others. I also came up with a nutritional diet to help his with his new diabetes diagnosis as well as take his blood sugar level and ensure he stays within his numbers that his doctor ordered.

I also worked at The Springs as a Caregiver. Although, I was only employed a few months there I received all my certifications while working. I was a caregiver in assisted living then was moved to Memory Care. I originally was hired for Med-tech but that training stopped due to them needing caregivers in memory care. Unfortunately, my schedule kept changing and it didn’t work out because I felt I was unable to maintain the personal relationships with residents because I was constantly being moved around due to them being understaffed. I loved being a caregiver and would love to continue working with residents.
