  • Oversee the content and standards for the Library Management System (LMS) collection functions (acquisitions, accounting, vendor, order, and materials records for physical collections and e-content, serials, and interlibrary loans), and for content integrations into the discovery layer (research databases, e-content, and calendars), working conjointly with the IT Department to ensure the full functioning of both
  • Assume primary troubleshooting and ticketing responsibility for the collection functions of the LMS, and for the discovery layer, working closely with the IT department for backup as needed on issues related to web, mobile, security, and hardware
  • In conjunction with the IT Manager, develop training and instructional opportunities for the LMS and discovery layer tools
  • Oversee budget planning and preparation related to Access Services functions, communicate and negotiate effectively with vendors, and administer service agreements as necessary
  • Recommend and evaluate products and services that support the library catalog and borrowing functions, and identify new technologies that enable the library to streamline routines and improve user experience
  • Provide leadership, direction, and daily supervision to the Access Services department, including establishing departmental and individual goals that support the library’s strategic initiatives, guiding employee performance, communicating expectations, and providing the resources necessary for success
