I am a legally trained law enforcement professional, currently serving as a commander for the Santa Fe Police department, in Santa Fe New Mexico. I want to start the next journey in life and continue to serve your organization and willing to learn new skills, techniques

I have been in law enforcement for the past 18 years with experience ranging from training officer, Detective within the investigations division, and supervisor for the patrol division and to investigation units. I started at the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office. In 2007 I was hired as a lateral officer with the Santa Fe Police Department and assigned to the Patrol Division. I was a Field Training Officer for the SFPD Patrol Division for over two years, became a general instructor, and assisted with the police academy recruits. I was later promoted to Detective and assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) -Property Crimes Unit. While in CID I experienced and handled many White-Collar Crimes, Burglary Crimes, and Motor Vehicle Thefts. During that time, I was certified as a Task Force Officer with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and assisted them with different operations. After seeing what fueled property crimes and assisting HSI, I expressed interest in the Narcotics Unit and worked in the In-House Narcotics Unit and the local Task Force. I was later assigned to the Albuquerque Office Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and completed the DEA’s Task Force Officer Training. After my experience with the DEA, I was transferred to the Violent Crimes Unit and investigated Homicides, robberies, etc., and attended many different courses related to violent crimes and conducted many Forensic Experiential Trauma Interviews (FETI). I was later promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to the Patrol Division; it was a short ride on patrol as Sergeant and was transferred to the Violent Crimes Unit and supervised the Detectives assigned to the unit. An opportunity arose for the Narcotics Sergeant position, and I was later selected. I was transferred to the local task force where I supervised SFPD agents and other agents from surrounding agencies. I stayed in the task force for three years before being promoted to Lieutenant. I was assigned to the Patrol Division and managed patrol supervisors. I was assigned to the Internal Affairs Unit and am currently supervising Criminal Investigation Section Lieutenant. I have attended classes and courses for Fraud Investigations, Background Investigations and Pre-Employment, Cellphone Technology Courses for social media investigations, Homicides, Narcotics Investigations, Undercover Operations, Rolling Surveillance Techniques, Interview, and Integrations, and Response to Active Shooter courses. I have received the FBI Trilogy Award and have attended many different supervisor classes. Basic Crisis Intervention Training, Internal Affairs and Professional Standards Ethics Training, Internal Affairs, and Employee Discipline. Versed in local, state, and federal law enforcement.
