I hope you are having a great day so far, as I am someone who strives to look at the bright side of every day or situation. I have volunteered in hospitals since I was in High School; my love for healthcare, and being a part of a medical team has grown ever since. I have worked in pediatrics, oral surgery, an urgent care facility, and most recently, in dermatology. A few years ago, I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Human Biology from Hunter College. However, the main goal, is to gain my Masters and become a Physician Assistant.
My interdisciplinary experience has allowed me to grow in my professionalism, medical acumen/skill set, and patient care abilities. It has made me a well-rounded and adaptable employee, who does not shy away from a challenge, or chances to take on bigger responsibilities. My affinity for growth in depth of knowledge, allows me to step into different roles with open ears and eyes, so that I may soak up as much wisdom/skill as possible. I tend to be that multifaceted team member that can be trusted to pick up the technique and hold down the fort in any sector. This has afforded me opportunities to do many things that may have been beyond my title.
I am not a Certified Medical Assistant, but I have over 2 years of experience in phlebotomy, and over 1 year of experience in performing EKG tests. I am not a certified Dental Assistant but I have over 1 year of experience in assisting in oral surgeries and acquiring CBCT scans. I am fortunate to have had employers who saw my potential and who were willing to teach me these skills and I am confident in my abilities to perform these tasks without supervision.
I am a highly motivated and committed Healthcare professional with proven history of superior performance at individual, team and organizational levels.
