-Responds to emergency, high priority calls in active situations.
-Assists with training New Hire Cadets during 911 training phase at Communications.
-Assists with interviewing potential candidates and New Hire applicants for Dallas Police Department at Hiring events.
-Receives and evaluates calls from the City of Dallas public requesting police, fire, and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) assistance and transfers fire and ambulance calls to respective dispatcher as dictated by the situation.
-Performs in high volume call taking, complex, emergent, and challenging situations using CAD Enterprise, VESTA 911, and RAPID SOS.
-Operates computer terminal which includes geo mapping to provide information to field personnel.
-Assists and supports Dallas Fire, Dallas Police, and City of Dallas utility companies with routing and emergency notification;
-Notates geographic layout and other key information necessary to be an effective 911 Call Taker.
-Maintains numerous record logs for time, identification, type of service
provided and location of officers.
-Attends administrative meetings as part of the Employee Action Committee
-Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
