Versatile Transportation Area Manager with 5+ years of transportation and logistic management experience. GuardShack : Responsibilities included checking in and checking out loads to fulfill network needs. Dealt with all aspects of case management. Requesting trailer drops and pickups, driver coaching's/ban, yard incidents, updating and maintaining YMS to reflect current yard conditions. Responsible for informing inbound/outbound/senior leadership on yard conditions in events like severe weather incidents (High fog/wind events typically). Having a High level of communication with TOM staff and FC staff to insure efficient work flow and chasing outbound drivers out of the yard to ensure proper load departure times.
Hostler: Responsible for inspecting, securing, and moving trailers in FC yard. Also responsible for managing 3rd party drivers. Making sure all Amazon rules are being followed (tractors parking in designated parking areas, drivings having high visibility vests, making sure they are obeying yard speed limits.) Also assisted in light preventive maintenance such as checking hostlers for defects, filling fluids when needed and fueling when appropriate. Responsible for keeping the yard clean, this includes cleaning up trash, utilizing spill kits on spills and removing debris safely and up to standard.
