I joined my wife’s CPA Firm immediately after retiring from the military to become her office manager. My duties included:

• managing daily operations and staff
• interacting with clients who came to the office or called on the phone
• setting client appointments and maintaining the office calendars
• ordering and maintaining office supplies
• working with all third-party vendors for services
• any other tasks necessary to maintain the daily operations of the company

I left in May 2023 because we sold the company and moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Served as the Brigade Knowledge Management Officer for the U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade. Primary responsibilities included advising the commander and staff on properly integrating Knowledge Management (KM) practices and procedures throughout the organization; enable knowledge flow to ensure shared understanding; align people, processes and tools within the organization to maximize efficiency and ensure the commander can make informed decisions. Responsible for the maintenance, security and administration of the units classified and unclassified SharePoint portals with a user base of over 800 personnel. As the unit’s data manager and records custodian, responsible for the maintenance and administration of the units distributed file systems on both classified and unclassified networks.

Served as the Executive Officer of a 351 Soldier and Civilian Cyber Protection Battalion responsible for conducting Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) in support of U.S. Government and Military Operations in the AFRICOM, EUCOM and Army Service cyber areas of responsibility. Responsible for:

• providing technically and operationally proficient Soldiers and Civilians to conduct cross functional DCO support to the Cyber Protection Brigade
• for the daily synchronization and coordination of the battalion staff as it executes the battalion mission
• Oversee staff functions, ensuring the timely and accurate satisfaction of requirements and the provision of effective administrative and logistical support.

Deputy Team Leader and Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Plans Officer for the 401st Cyber Protection Team, 1st Cyber Protection Battalion, consisting of four mission elements. Responsible for:

• conducting hasty and deliberate DCO mission support to the United States European Command (USEUCOM)
• mission planning process for CPT operations and assigned missions
• assist mission elements with support and coordination with higher, lateral, and subordinate elements
• assists in managing the cyber training, readiness, welfare and mission success of the 25 Soldiers and DA Civilians assigned to the team
• assist with managing a $500,000 travel budget and $280,000 IT budget
• support the Battalion, Brigade and USEUCOM Commander's intent and vision.
