An aspiring public health professional with a strong academic foundation in Cell and Molecular Biology, motivated by a deep commitment to advancing global health through research. My interest in infectious disease prevention and control is rooted in personal experiences growing up in poverty and facing a lack of healthcare resources, coupled with a profound empathy for communities in developing nations impacted by neglected tropical diseases. With a focus on vaccine development and gain-of-function research, I am eager to expand my expertise and contribute to the global fight against infectious diseases. Through graduate-level training, I aim to apply my scientific knowledge to develop innovative solutions for preventing and controlling infectious diseases in underserved populations.
