- This job was my first out of school job. I started as a shop hand sweeping floors and taking in all the knowledge I possibly could about transformers. This turned into me becoming a Transformer Technician which includes receiving transformers from clients as well as diagnosing and trouble shooting each transformer. I am currently a technician, transport driver, as well as doing customer relations while picking up/delivering these products. My task while transporting involve going directly to our clients facility and meeting directly with clients while also making sure we are maintaining an outstanding business to business relationship.
- I have specialized in everything from 5KVA pole mounted transformers to 4MVA substations.
- I am trained in base line DOBLE testing. Megger testing. TTR, winding resistance testing.
- In my current shop we are expected to be able to do everything transformers related. (Full tear down and rebuild, diagnostic, troubleshooting, repair, oil processing, oil sampling)
- I am currently located in a shop though I have been involved with multiple “on-site” repairs.
