Jose Blanco-Reyes

I am a class of 2024 high school from Oxon Hill High School's Science & Technology program. With a 4.06 GPA I have been accepted into the aviation science program at University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a concentration in Professional Pilot. Even while in high school I took college level courses and ground school which have given me the confidence to pursue aviation at the university level.

• Volunteer of the Oxon Hill High School GLOBE Club with involvement in regulating recycling pick up around campus (2022-2024)
• Volunteer of the Oxon Hill High School Wall Committee with involvement in decorating campus for school held events (Fairs, Homecomings, etc.) (2023-2024)
• Neighborhood tutoring of elementary school students (2022-2023)
• Member of the National Honor Society with responsibilities of making/posting events on social media and involved with helping several school activities (2022-2024)
• Member of the Oxon Hill High School Swim Team with 2x County Championship Titles (2 seasons)
• Treasurer of the Japanese Honor Society and was responsible for recording meetings and tutoring other Japanese students (2022-2023)
• Member of the Oxon Hill High School Track Team (2 seasons)

During my high school career I completed 5 advance placement courses that includes AP Physics C, Calculus AB, Language & Composition, World History, & Government & Politics. Along with 5 AP courses I have completed 5 dual enrollment courses at Prince George's Community College that includes Basic Composition I, Intro. to Sociology, Intro. to Business, Foundations of Communication, & Intro. to Nutrition all of which completed with B or higher.
