My attached resume' may at first read as a bit sporadic, or wandering. However, some of the seemingly varied fields actually intertwine some of the basic required skills for each job. For example, in high-diving shows, the goal was to give the audience members a thrilling, entertaining experience which they would always remember. Likewise, while in the hospitality industry, the goal was the same. Individual guests, or families, wanted to have a genuinely rewarding experience which they would always be able to recall with great happiness.
Although my varied work history may not seem to connect at first, it has given me exposure to a very wide collection of skill sets which I hope to bring to a new, rewarding job.
For example, it takes 3 days to build a pool and set for the diving shows. Mapping out the ground where it will go, leveling it, erecting and interlocking the ten foot high steel panels which form the walls of the pool. Pulling up the waterproof liner, assembling the scaffolding for the stage and diving boards. And finally assembling the ladder, one ten foot section at a time. Each one is pulled up by rope, by hand, and bolted to the previous one below, until the ladder, and the assembler, are one hundred feet off the ground.
What I mean to explain, is that it is long, hard, dirty work to build and put into place something that once completed, looks as though everyone involved is simply paid to play.
And now, I am back to the long, hard dirty, work. Changing oil and tires at Walmart. I am not discouraged by the hard work. I simply am seeking to find a more personally fulfilling end to my labors, with an employer where I might have opportunities to grow through my own merits.
