  • I am currently a Contractor for Northrup Grumman for the past 2 years as a Desktop Support Technician. I have worked for various contracting agencies such as Bridge health care, K-force, Apple one and other firms for the past 8 years.
  • As a desktop support Engineer, I performed the following duties:
  • A Desktop Support Engineer provides technical help for hardware, software, and network issues, handling tasks like troubleshooting, installing systems, setting up workstations, managing user accounts, and creating documentation for end-users, requiring strong problem-solving, communication, and OS/network skills to ensure smooth IT operations for an organization.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware (PCs, peripherals) and software (applications, operating systems like Windows/Mac) problems for users.
  • Installation & Configuration: Set up new computers, install software, configure applications, and connect peripherals for new hires and existing users.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades
  • Perform routine system checks, apply updates, manage security patches, and upgrade equipment as needed.
  • Network Support: Assist with basic network connectivity issues and ensure secure access.
  • Ticket Management: Log, track, and prioritize technical issues and resolutions in ticketing systems. Microsoft 365 and Azure / Entra ID administration

  • LAN/WAN and network security infrastructure (firewalls, switches, wireless, VPN)
