  • Manage, lead, and develop 12-15 ramp crews working on 15 inbound and 15 outbound flights daily.
  • Communicate and plan with both the ramp and sortation departments to estimate aircraft build plans, volume projections, and parking plans for ramp.
  • Started and led weekly PSA planning meetings to celebrate success as well as deliver important ramp/site updates to team of 20 PSA’s.
  • A330 SME - oversaw the operational growth of 1 to 4 HAL outbound flights. Worked with Learning support department to get 8 PSA’s trained for this aircraft, as well as over 90 associates trained in PCLS to work this aircraft.
  • Led A330 roundtables for BHN to help tie any gaps between Load Plan and Ramp teams during launch of the aircraft on our shift.
  • Delivered 342 positive and corrective Adapt feedbacks. This amount marked the highest of all leaders at KCVG, being 657% more than the average of 52 during 2024 at the site. This level of accountability and recognition drives his team to exceed performance standards and deliver for our customers safely.
  • Won the KCVG startup challenge for leading the most engaging, informational, and well-received startups at the site. This was given to him after leadership observations of over 30 Area Managers.
  • BHN leadership owner for all ramp assets. Contributing heavily towards 4 corner asset success, leading to all teams being prepared to succeed for each shift. Key stakeholder in controlling and accounting for $450,000 of ramp assets.

  • Manage a team of 50-75 hourly associates, consistently focusing on associate experience and customer promise.
  • Ensure tug team and area readiness, and give his team proper support throughout the operation. Continuous communication between the planse teams, ramp flow, and the sort team/load planners is necessary for operational success.
  • Led the rollout of the A04/05 staging areas for 1DA and 2DA freight. These areas separate freight for the different banks, leading to cleaner rolled freight handoffs and faster shift action for freight locations.
  • Implemented overflow staging areas for each bank in the event of significant roll events. Aside from location specifics. Implemented colored cones to further the accuracy in deciphering that freight is located where it is supposed to be. Through this initiative, KCVG was able to clear significant roll events 100% more efficiently since implementing, reducing rolled freight dwell time from 4 days to 2 days.
  • Inherited nightly tug headcount of 17 operators. Through engagements, learning department knowledge, and tenacity increased the team’s average nightly headcount to 33 operators.
  • Helped charge BHN to achieve the best OTP during peak 2023, with an 86% D15 on time departure percentage with 35% of these delays being uncontrollable.
  • Reduction of cargo tractor incidents from 207 in 2023, to 38 YTD in 2024, an 82% reduction. John’s ownership of lock-ups compliance for the four corners has also played a significant role in reducing dropped ULDs from 104 in 2023 to 28 YTD 2024.
