I’ve developed a strong work ethic, learned how to stay organized under pressure, and gained the ability to deliver excellent customer service in fast-paced situations. Collaborating with a diverse team has strengthened my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. I’ve also learned patience, adaptability, and how to maintain a positive attitude, even during challenges. These experiences have made me more confident, dependable, and prepared to take on greater responsibilities, and even better roles in the future.

• Working in child care at the Y has been one of the best experiences of my life. It was the first job I ever got, and it has taught me so much along the way. Everything from patience, how to show up to work, the importance of building great and genuine relationships with the people in your environment, both coworkers and members, and so much more. I also believe this role would help me prosper in this job.

• Working as a landscaper has made me a stronger worker and a better person. I’ve learned how important it is to work hard, pay attention to details, and take pride in what I do. The tough, physical work taught me discipline, patience, and how to use my time wisely. Working with others on different projects improved my teamwork and communication skills, and being outside taught me how to handle problems when things don’t go as planned. These lessons have made me more reliable, flexible, and ready to give my best in any job.
