- Oversees all projects originating or involving Technical Services Department. This includes managing tasks and output of one full-time cataloger, one part-time cataloger and various student workers.
- Assists Dean of Libraries with maintenance and repair of library systems, as well as being responsible for installing and updating ILS software and hardware.
- Scheduling and distributing reports as needed.
- 'Acquisition duties including maintenance of budget for all print and AV items for six locations.
- Cataloging items as needed. This includes some original cataloging. Also, maintaining the quality of the catalog including authority work.
- Works with the Dean and Library Secretary to compile annual statistics.
- Responsible for cataloging over 200,000 eResources quarterly for our online catalog using a combination of MarcEdit and department created macros.
- Prepared library system data and workflow for a Dewey to LC conversion project lasting an estimated 5 years,
- Prepared library system data and clean up for a data conversion from a local server to the Mississippi Library Partnership.
- One of two key contacts for implementing and maintaining our obligations in the Mississippi Library Partnership.
