Work History

Food Service Worker

Sweetgreen
10.2024 - 05.2025
  • Utilized my multitasking skills to manage large quantities of orders simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy.
  • Maintained clean, sanitized, and stocked stations in order to be the most efficient possible.
  • Succeeded in maintaining pace, quality, and friendliness during very high-stress times.
  • Usually designated to be on the service line talking to people, because I am not only friendly, but genuinely happy to help people.
  • Restocked supplies, helped out with food prep and dishes when I was available and it was needed.

Live-Out Nanny

Tanya Kerssen
10.2023 - 08.2024
  • Learned to work in an environment where my boss is so close to me in proximity, and setting boundaries between the two of us to best take care of her child.
  • Had my first experience with a child who was "nonverbal" until the age of 2 (He could comprehend and communicated in other ways, but didn't speak until around his 2nd birthday). This helped me refine my ability to give and receive communication in different ways, so that I can understand and be understood.
  • Had light housekeeping duties when the child was napping, and was diligent about keeping our area tidy throughout the day.
  • I learned that I am able to successfully give the heimlich maneuver to a baby, which is unfortunately potentially a part of any caretaking job, but I find it still worth mentioning that I succeeded.

Axe Throwing Coach

Bad Axe Throwing
02.2024 - 05.2024
  • Assisted in the recruitment of new members for the axe throwing leagues hosted by Bad Axe Throwing.
  • Effectively managing space allocation within the facility to accommodate all needs, at one point hosting the entire UMN football team that included almost 200 members.
  • Learned to effectively project my voice and lay down friendly, but strict, boundaries to keep everyone safe.
  • Learned to teach more help-resistant people how to effectively throw an axe and hit the target, without them realizing I'm teaching them.
  • Worked on mediating and deescalating in an environment where there are not only axes, but alcohol.
  • Practiced stepping out of my comfort zone in order to get comfortable not knowing things about such a niche area of interest, and then seeing my progress as I honed my skills.
  • Hosted groups, couples, singles, etc. and read body language to determine to what extent of hands-on coaching they were hoping for. Offered one-on-one coaching sessions for those in a group that were struggling and wanted some pointers. As long as I had the time, and the customers had the interest, I was always so happy to share my knowledge.
