

I am drawn to the role of school counselor in a small rural community because it allows me to build meaningful, lasting relationships with students and families while making a direct impact on their academic and personal growth. Through my practicum experience at Tipton Public Schools, a Title I campus in a rural community, I gained firsthand insight into the unique challenges and strengths of rural education. This experience strengthened my commitment to supporting the whole student by addressing academic, social, and emotional needs while collaborating closely with educators and families. I am especially motivated to provide accessible guidance and resources, helping students develop confidence, resilience, and a clear vision for their future.
