Kathryn McCoy

I came to the University of South Carolina thinking of pursuing law or science. However, I recently changed my major to Industrial Engineering. This decision came after realizing my original path didn’t align with my strengths and interests. This process helped me understand what I enjoy and where I could bring the most value through my professional skills.

Industrial engineering first caught my eye because of its focus on problem-solving and efficiency. My detail-oriented nature helps me identify opportunities for improvement, and my customer service background has sharpened my ability to approach challenges with a customer-focused mindset. Though I’m new to the field, I’m eager to gain experience and improve productivity.

I’m passionate about creative problem-solving and committed to achieving goals through hard work. I admire innovation through technology and design and am confident I can bring a creative mindset to any project.
