Organized and facilitated processes related to organ procurement, with coverage consisting of 120 different hospitals throughout central and south Texas. Worked closely with donor families, providing support as they navigated end-of-life decisions. Medically managed brain-dead organ donors, allocated organs based on highly complex algorithms, and collaborated with transplant centers to successfully recover and transplant those matches.

Experience on three different units. Telemetry, Intermediate Care (IMC), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with trauma, medical, and open heart patients.

Staff nurse providing direct patient care on a 38 bed medical floor. Promoted to Charge Nurse in May 2012 at which point duties included staffing grid for the oncoming shift, assigning new admits to appropriate nurses, and seeing to the safety of patients, family members, and staff. Acted as a resource for other nurses, and assisted in decision making for the best interest of the patient.
