Kayla Crecco

A full-time student working towards my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. My focus has always been working with children. I intend to explore the different areas of Psychology to gain a wide experience of the opportunities within this field.

My long-term goal within the field of Psychology is to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through empathy, understanding, respect, and by giving emotional support to those seeking professional help. I would like to gain a comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment options, and recovery strategies.

• Not One More - A movement for eating disorder awareness week for February 23rd-25th, 2024. Provides support for all individuals experiencing eating disorders, as well as their loved ones
• National Alliance for Eating Disorders - Volunteer
• Alpha Xi Delta - Supported and raised money for our philanthropy, The Kindly Hearts Initiative, which helps children experiencing homelessness and foster care
• Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse - Advocated for younger students on the dangers of substance abuse and encouraged them to remain drug and alcohol free
• Circle of Friends - Worked to include children with disabilities
• Big Buddies - Provided support, guidance, and encouragement for incoming freshman as they began high school
• Enrichment Helpers Club - Helped elementary school kids with their homework
