I have always had a love for horses. I was given the wonderful opportunity to work at a large public riding facility in Aspen Colorado. Working at Cozy Point Ranch has given me an opportunity to learn about everything and anything regarding the equine and ranching industry. Not only am I in the office assisting with paperwork, scheduling, and administrative work, but I am also learning valuable skills. These include: cleaning stalls, helping move horses, treating wounds, rehabbing horses, loading horses in and off the trailers, as well as teaching beginner riding lessons during after school hours.
During the past 4 summers from June to August, I have been able to work at a large children's riding camp on site. I was able to assist the camp manager with scheduling, billing, and childcare. I furthered my knowledge with teaching and structured business models.
This industry continues to give me opportunities to keep learning and advancing my skill sets, and I am excited to continue to look towards advancements in my career wherever it may lead me!
