Upheld all responsibilities on a fully certified ALS ambulance in Washington County. Worked beside another Paramedic and not only assisted but lead in proper and efficient patient care per Washington County EMS protocols. Other responsibilities included full inventory of ambulance and working directly with Washington County fire agencies.
Established an effective triage system for emergency room operations tailored to specific operational needs. Assisted in coordinating hospital wide infection control awareness campaign. Performed BLS and advanced ALS skills including minor reconstructive surgeries and all levels of suturing in an adverse environment with high patient demand. Instructed over 300 nurses in CPR/BLS for adult, child, infant, and neonatal patients following non-accredited AHA guidelines. Also noted that all providers were tested for proficiency via written and practical test post 3 days of instruction.
Managed the accountability and security of 15 marines and over 2.5 million dollars of government equipment. Issued, delegated,and improvised orders according to set battle protocols. Supervised all tasks assigned. Handled equipment and information of a SECRET nature requiring such security clearance. Taught and supervised over 500 hours of classes and training exercises for internal personnel as well as 3 foreign militaries. Received Navy/Marine Corps achievement medal for organizing and executing said training events. Officially certified as a combat lifesaver in 2010 by company medic.
