I have been in the retail business for 15 wonderful years and It has taught me many life changing skills. I have learned what it means to be a key part in the community. It means the world to me to be able to be a take care of the public and be responsible for keeping a seamless environment for customers to come and spend their days shopping for necessities and "Just for funs"
Being a part of this business for 15 years has given me significant knowledge when it comes to merchandising and marketing. Its all about keeping up with the trends (what do the people want and when do they want it) and its also about merchandising product in a creative way in order to get that extra item in the customers cart when they did not even realize they wanted it)
the most gratifying part of retail management is feeling like a part of the community
Coming from HEB groceries, I have learned what it means to care about the community in so many ways
HEB prides itself on taking care of the locals and being there when needed
over the years I have achieved the following:
Feast of sharing (cooking and serving food to the homeless on thanksgiving)
Cooking breakfast for the local fire department yearly
getting to work to serve the public through freezes, hurricane harvey and covid
It is all about community and tradition, without that it just isn't as special.
